Reports from last week's Television Critics Association press event have spreading far and wide online, and amid the slate of all the new programming coming in 2011, 'Game of Thrones' made quite a splash. Here's the latest:

  • Sean Bean told Collider.com about the many benefits of being typecast in fantasy roles.
  • Winter Is Coming and Westeros both covered the press event and deconstructed every piece of available information for fans (including an in-depth recap of the roundtable discussion with David Benioff and D.B. Weiss at WiC).
  • TV critic Maureen Ryan shared her thoughts on the press-only preview shown at the event and also spoke with the cast and creators of the series.
  • And just in case you needed a strong testimonial from series creator David Benioff, a report from Access Hollywood included one of his favorite aspects of the story: "A lot of people get killed.  George's world is a violent world - there's a lot of killing and bloodshed and eviscerations and decapitations and there's a lot of sex.  It's one of the things that I loved about these books."
